Continuation of yesterday's session. Today debriefing on Transition, disclosure, and optimization was done. those concerned had a great time. Questions were asked. Due to time constraints, we will be doing role plays and case studies tomorrow.
We had the presence of the pediatric nurse in charge of HIV cases, the pediatric APS, and the social worker in charge of disclosure besides me and Dr. Sauvia.

  • % Done changed from 70 to 80

- Started today with role plays on disclosure with my team. They still have a few gaps with regards to pediatric ARV protocols but that will be refreshed by Dr sauvia in subsequent sessions.
- Notes will also be given to them to help for revision and knowledge refreshment.

Pediatric surge

- Testing not really improving as children are out of town on holidays and we have to wait on the mothers to confirm their availability despite accepting for us to test their children.
- For this week, we tested just 3 children in CHUY, 2 for PHC and 0 for CMA Elig-essono.
- Due to the poor testing rate, I will have another working session with the testers and PMTCT aps on how to restrategize to increase the testing numbers.

  • % Done changed from 80 to 90

- Rounded up with the disclosure, transition, and optimization,
- Gave post-test which will be corrected and handed over tomorrow to the participants.
- Feedback on participants and facilitators will be discussed in detail tomorrow.

Challenges

- The participants are a little busy with other site work. Hence the facilitators need to keep to time so that we finish what we have to do for each part of the program.

  • Estimated time changed from 2.00 h to 1.00 h

The post and pretest results were communicated today with great improvement by the pediatric APS and slight improvement by the other two hospital staff. We will continue working today so as not to forget what is expected of them in disclosure, transition, and optimization.
